A Note from your CI

It's been a month.

I've heard from other CIs about your performance during the NCO Camp.
I ain't happy with the results from your Theoretical Assessment.

I just hope you guys remember what you said and promised some time early this year.
Goal of Squad: Live up to the Unit's standards and help strive for a Gold in the UOPA.

Before we can think about getting a Gold in UOPA, we should start thinking on our own standards. Not many of you scored well for your drill test. Not many of you passed your NCO Assessment.

If you can't even reach the standards of what a NCO should be, then don't think about leading the Unit far ahead.

I know it's examination period for all of you. But I hope you remember that where the Unit heads to, lies in your hands. No matter how small your squad is now, I hope you can continue to work hard, to reach your squad's goal.

If the seniors years ago can do it as a squad, I don't doubt your true potential for doing likewise.
If 4 NCOs can lead everyone else towards a common direction in the Unit, I believe your squad can do better, much better than what just 4 NCOs can do.

Back to you, it all starts with yourself. If everyone plays their own little small roles, together, the squad can be strong.

Think like an NCO; act like an NCO.
Talk like one; behave like one.
You are no longer cadets. You will be the next group of leaders.
So let's start now. Start from the re-assessment.

Since someone has failed the test, I would expect everyone to retake the test.
And the passing mark is not just 60%. It's not as easy as the first paper.

However, I don't wish you to just aim for 65%. Not just to pass.
I want everyone to get more than just 65%. And this test is just a basic assessment. It's not difficult. I believe all of you can do much better than just 65%. Prove it to me.

You have seen the test paper given during the camp.
The re-assessment will not be the same paper. But the one given back to you serves as a guide, on how is question set.

Focus of the re-assessment will remain same.
Do know your details, know your facts.
