Farewell night rehersal

As all of us have been informed about the date and day of our farewell night
We will have to meet up and discuss about the performance
*Just like the previous year*

So from now till 18 december we will have to pick a few days out.
Please tell me the date that you are not free
So that we can pick a few dates where most of us can turn up
You can either sms me (cherry) or post as tag reply

Please do so as soon as possible
*Preferably within this week*

Before we meet up and start our discussion
Maybe we can start thinking of ideas
So that it can make things easier

Anyway this whole things might take up to around 3-4 days
*provided that we are serious throughout the whole process XD*

Day one should be focusing of the main idea etc
On top of this, we still have to think of the place to rehearse(Day two etc)
Preferably not under void deck uh :P

So yea that's all

Farewell Night

The date of farewell night has been confirm. It will be held on the 18th December 2009.

First of all, we have to confirm the number of people going on that day by tomorrow. Because Lucas had to confirm the total number of people going on the day and tell the TOs (Teacher Officers). So i hope that everyone could cooperate with me by telling me whether they will be able to make it on the day. So please leave a comment of the post saying whether you are coming. Please start with "I am coming/not coming to the farewell night" OR you could message me at 9**99**4(sorry i cannot put my number on the blog, if anyone do not know my number please go ask from other squad mates). Please do so by 24 November 2009 12.00pm.

Lastly, after we had confirm the number of going for the farewell night. We have to meet up and decide on the performance. So now go and think of some idea on what we can perform. It can be any theme and no chinese song, etc...... After i have confirm of the number of people going, then i will post on the blog again about when we will meet up to discuss about the performance.

After you have seen this post remember to leave a comment or message me if you are coming for the farewell night by 24 November 2009 12.00pm. Please help to spread this post to the rest of the squad mates

Some Expectations from this Blog

Hi all,

Congrats to those who have done relatively well for the End Of Year Examinations.
A word of encouragement for those who didn't, but do carry on to work hard for the coming years.

Anyway, a piece of good news I would like to share with the squad is that, I have been promoted officially to Senior Cadet Inspector. So just to share the joy with you before I appear physically in front of you again end of December, being a nasty Instructor once again.

Back to serious business.
I do hope that you understand that affiliating yourselves in this Blog as an NPCC blog, bearing the NPCC Crest and its recognised name, you should, by your best, bring up good name of the Corps. Not saying that you are supposed to promote NPCC here in the blog, to encourage primary school kids to join NPCC when they go to secondary school, but to actually converse in proper English here.

I think it's rather unfair if I would to go to Cherry (since she is the most easily contacted) for every single time I see that there is a need to filter some contents due to its inappropriateness. I hope the squad members help the moderator(s) of this blog to maintain the integrity of the blog by at least using proper English and refrain yourselves from being abusive in your words used, in the post entries as well as the tag board.

I don't mind short forms in the tagboard since it's supposed to be meant for you to chat. But do at least refrain from using languages other than English. Same goes to the blog entries.

Cadets and ex-cadets, I understand your enthusiasm for NPCC and the Unit has not died down, but I also hope you remember that this blog serves as an informative site online for current NPCC cadets, specifically the 9th Batch of cadets. So please do help maintain the integrity of this blog as well.

As for non-NPCC cadets, whether or not you are from Canberra Secondary School, I believe the cadets do welcome your visits here. Some of them may be your friends, or perhaps not. But please bear in mind that your ip addresses are being left behind, so I strongly suggest that you act responsibly as an Netizen (a name for an Internet user) before you land yourself in trouble. Especially for Canberra Sec. students, it's much easier to track you.

So cadets, I will see you soon.

Best wishes,
SCI Vincent

A Note from your CI

It's been a month.

I've heard from other CIs about your performance during the NCO Camp.
I ain't happy with the results from your Theoretical Assessment.

I just hope you guys remember what you said and promised some time early this year.
Goal of Squad: Live up to the Unit's standards and help strive for a Gold in the UOPA.

Before we can think about getting a Gold in UOPA, we should start thinking on our own standards. Not many of you scored well for your drill test. Not many of you passed your NCO Assessment.

If you can't even reach the standards of what a NCO should be, then don't think about leading the Unit far ahead.

I know it's examination period for all of you. But I hope you remember that where the Unit heads to, lies in your hands. No matter how small your squad is now, I hope you can continue to work hard, to reach your squad's goal.

If the seniors years ago can do it as a squad, I don't doubt your true potential for doing likewise.
If 4 NCOs can lead everyone else towards a common direction in the Unit, I believe your squad can do better, much better than what just 4 NCOs can do.

Back to you, it all starts with yourself. If everyone plays their own little small roles, together, the squad can be strong.

Think like an NCO; act like an NCO.
Talk like one; behave like one.
You are no longer cadets. You will be the next group of leaders.
So let's start now. Start from the re-assessment.

Since someone has failed the test, I would expect everyone to retake the test.
And the passing mark is not just 60%. It's not as easy as the first paper.

However, I don't wish you to just aim for 65%. Not just to pass.
I want everyone to get more than just 65%. And this test is just a basic assessment. It's not difficult. I believe all of you can do much better than just 65%. Prove it to me.

You have seen the test paper given during the camp.
The re-assessment will not be the same paper. But the one given back to you serves as a guide, on how is question set.

Focus of the re-assessment will remain same.
Do know your details, know your facts.

CI Vincent
